School student internship

Find out with a school student internship at Döhler. You will gain insights into everyday working life, look over the shoulders of real professionals, and of course have the opportunity to help out!
In Darmstadt, we offer school student internships with two focus topics. Get to know the field of food technology and gain insight into our production, laboratories and Development department. More interested in a commercial role? You can also get a taste of various departments such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Service or Accounting.
At our site in Neuss, you also have the opportunity to experience the exciting field of food technology.
We also offer school student internships every year at our Neuenkirchen, Neuss and Dahlenburg sites, where you can get to know various fields depending on your interests.

You can apply for the apprenticeships one year in advance. You will always find our positions starting on 1 August (apprenticeship) and 1 October (dual degree programme) of the following year on our website no later than the summer holidays. The crunch period for our selection process is August to November. Of course, you can still apply later. We will be happy to consider your application should there be any places left.
You will find all the current vacancies for work experience in our jobs portal. Once you know your dates, just apply on our online careers portal and we will check if we have any vacancies. In Darmstadt, work experience covers either food technology or commercial departments; in Dahlenburg and Neuenkirchen, you can do work experience in any field you are interested in. In principle, yes. However, it is always better to think in detail about your own strengths and interests first. A targeted application for a specific apprenticeship/dual degree programme is always the best way.
Work experience is usually for a period of two weeks. In Darmstadt, you can choose between two focuses: food technology or commercial.
In Neuenkirchen and Dahlenburg, all relevant areas are generally available, depending on your interests.
Covid has challenged all of us – including us as training company. But good news first: We are still offering vocational education. The need for apprentices and dual students has not changed as a result to Covid. Promoting our own emerging talents continues to be our top priority. On the other hand, Covid affects us, adapted to the respective pandemic situation at the local sites, in every day working life: there is homeschooling, the office is moved to homeoffice, hygiene and distance rules are a matter of course. Together we will work it out successfully, we are sure that we will master the situation.
